Arcs

Masters degree thesis project.

Advisor: Nati Shamia Opher

The project arcs examined a series of objects through the lens of motion (form follows motion) using manipulations and interventions in the object’s timeline.

How do the motion and rhythm of a functional object influence how we feel about it? How will accelerating, slowing down, or changing the order of the movement’s frames influence what the product conveys, and how can such an intervention make the same product poetic, disturbing, desirable, or off-putting?
